For 13 years, Ohio Cancer Research is proud to have honored and sizzled (ok, perhaps just singed, but never fully roasted), the most prominent and successful business and civic leaders in the Toledo area to raise funds for basic cancer research, public information and awareness.

This year we honor Nick Eyde, Founder, GEYDE Development on
Thursday, October 19 at 6 p.m. at the Renaissance Toledo Downtown Hotel.

Additionally, the 2023 Discover Award for Research will be presented to The University of Toledo’s Dayanidhi Raman, B.V.Sc, PhD. Dr. Raman received a $50,000 seed money grant from OCR in 2017 that generated nearly 3 million from other sources based on his success.

OCR has provided over $1.2 million in seed money to Toledo area researchers at the University of Toledo and Bowling Green State University which has generated more than $87 million from other sources to continue work based on initial success.
